Frequently asked questions
Which cities have exchange offices in the directory?
The full list is on the "Cities" page. Warsaw and Kraków have the most offices. We add new cities once we have found and checked the data.
How does crypto exchange work in Poland?
Crypto services in the EU are regulated by MiCA. As of September 2026, Poland has not adopted its crypto-asset market law, so there are no Polish MiCA licences. A company operates lawfully if it holds CASP authorisation from any EU country and lists Poland among the countries where it provides services: this is shown in the ESMA register. The rules are changing, so check the status before a transaction. Exchange offices must also follow anti-money-laundering rules.
How is an exchange office different from a crypto exchange?
On an exchange you trade crypto online, and the money moves through a bank account. At an exchange office you deal in person, at the counter, often in cash. The rate at an office usually differs from the rate on an online exchange because the office adds its own margin.
