Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

This page describes what personal data may be processed when you visit polska.exchange or contact us by email.

1. Contact for data questions

Email: hello@polska.exchange

2. What data is processed

  • Technical request data: IP address, date and time, page address, browser type and error information. The hosting provider and CDN may process it to deliver the site and protect it against failures and attacks.
  • Data from emails: the sender address, name, content of the message and any attachments. It is needed to answer a question, correct a listing or consider a proposal for a listing.
  • Public business contacts of organisations and their representatives. They are used to maintain the directory. If such a contact relates to an individual or a sole trader, it can be corrected or deleted via hello@polska.exchange.

3. Cookies and analytics

The current version of the site does not set analytics, advertising or affiliate cookies and does not use a web analytics system. If this changes, the policy will be updated before the new tool is switched on. If required, the site will also ask visitors for consent.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Security, error diagnostics and operation of the directory: legitimate interest of the site owner.
  • Replying to emails and correcting data: legitimate interest of the owner and of the person who wrote to us.
  • Discussing cooperation: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Accounting or other mandatory documents: compliance with a legal obligation.

5. Retention periods

Technical logs are kept for as long as needed for security and diagnostics, subject to the settings of the chosen hosting provider. Correspondence is kept until the matter is closed, and after that only for as long as it is needed to defend legal claims or to comply with the law. Business contacts remain in the directory while they are up to date, or until a reasoned request for correction or deletion is received.

6. Who may receive data

Hosting, CDN and email providers may have access to the extent necessary for their work. Data may also be passed to a public authority if the law requires it. polska.exchange does not sell personal data.

If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must rely on a basis provided for by the GDPR, for example an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

Depending on the situation, you can request access to your data, its correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can send a request to hello@polska.exchange.

If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO), that is, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

8. Changes to this policy

The new version will be published on this page with an updated date. Significant changes, if they affect the rights of visitors, will be marked separately.
